Downtown Business Improvement District (DBID)

Downtown (Parkway) Business Improvement District  

The (DBID) was established by Ordinance 03-07 on February 6th, 2007. The Business Improvement District is operated by a Board of Directors elected by business owners within the district. The DBID operates through assessments charged to businesses within the district. This assessment provides the DBID with funding for holiday lighting, maintenance, landscaping, marketing & promotion, and administration.


The BID oversees, supports and coordinates the following:

  • Market at the Parkway Farmers Market (June through October annually)

  • Pedestrian area refuse collection

  • Holiday tree lighting

  • Flower potting throughout the Parkway

  • Upgrading common electrical outlets
