Northwest Advanced Clean Energy Park

The North Horn Rapids Industrial Park (Northwest Advanced Clean Energy Park) encompasses 1,341 acres of land specifically master planned and zoned for large industrial users that perform innovative work in the clean energy field. Sites of fifty acres or larger are available for industrial users focused on advanced clean energy and related technologies.

Formerly a part of the Hanford Nuclear Reservation the land was transferred from the Department of Energy to TRIDEC and eventually to Energy Northwest, the Port of Benton and the City of Richland for community benefit through development.

The area is also home to Washington's VERTical Innovation Cluster, a supplier alliance accelerating the deployment of advanced carbon-free energy technologies.

The clean energy park is in the center of regional transportation routes, close to barge facilities, and is served by two class I railroads. Utilities, except for natural gas, are provided by the City of Richland and are in place to the site boundary.

The City of Richland offers a one-stop shop for land use, permitting, and utility services to expedite all phases of development projects.
